Derrick “Moose” Rima found his love for beer during his first duty station in Giessen, Germany. After leaving the Army, he took up homebrewing as a therapeutic hobby while working toward his hospitality degree at The University of North Texas. This hobby soon became an obsession that led to a career in DFW craft beer. Moose has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some of the best local DFW breweries and even a local distillery. Over his tenure in brewing, he has gained a robust knowledge of the industry, and is very excited to be bringing that experience and passion to Flix Brewhouse Frisco/Little Elm. Moose’s approach involves collaborating with the brewing community, while creating common styles with an unusual twist.
